Sioux Falls Police: Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in accident

Sioux Falls Police say a 29-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries in a car vs. motorcycle accident Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened near 27th Street and Summit Avenue just before 2:30 pm.

Police say an 84-year-old driver and the 29-year-old motorcyclist collided at the intersection and the 29-year-old was thrown.

A witness tells Dakota News Now that the motorcycle rider's shoes and helmet were knocked off. According to the witness, the rider left the scene in an ambulance.

Police say the injuries of the 29-year-old are considered life-threatening. The investigation is ongoing.
