Many students across our area will gather this weekend to give the gift of warmth to kids in need.

It's the 8th annual Project Warm-Up, an event where kids get together to create fleece blankets for some who are homeless.

This is an event which brings together high school, middle school and elementary school students in Sioux Falls, along with members of various clubs and youth groups.

The event is Saturday, December 13th, from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm, at Rosa Parks Elementary School.

There are many other ways to volunteer for Project Warm-Up.

Volunteers may make blankets on their own and drop off at Edison on or prior to December 14th. A blanket making party is another way to celebrate Project Warm-Up. you can invite friends, teammates, and relatives to throw your own event.

Fleece donations are also accepted, two matching pieces measuring 1-1/4 yds, 1-3/4 yds, or 2 yds.

Those who wish to donate money to purchase fleece may send checks to Project Warm-Up, Edison Middle School, 2101 S West Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57105
