2019 Media One Funski begins Friday

The 2019 Media One Funski is being held this weekend.

The event, held each year at Great Bear Recreation Park, is a major fundraiser for the Children's Inn. It features several outdoor winter competitions, including snow sculptures, skiing, and snow tube races.

FRIDAY JANUARY 18, 2019

Snow Sculpture Contest – 12-9pm

Event Kick-Off Party – 5:45pm

Snow Tube Races – Time Trials at 6:30pm, Races at 7pm

Rail Jam – 6:30pm

Snow Sculpture Contest Judging – 9pm

Music in the Chalet from Whiskey Rich - 9:15pm

SATURDAY JANUARY 19, 2019

Fat Bike Race (In front of Chalet and Beginner Hill) - 8:15am

Cross Country Ski Race – 10:00 am

Frozen Leg Kickball – noon

Downhill Corporate Cup 1pm

Snowboard Giant Slalom – 3pm

Zipfy Sled Races – 4pm

Founded in 1977, Children’s Inn is a private, non-profit organization that provides free 24-hour services to victims of domestic violence. To date, the event has raised more than $860,000 for the operational budget of Children’s Inn.
