A duplex at 2517 S Duluth Avenue was damaged in a fire Saturday afternoon.

Sioux Falls Fire rescue said the first arriving crews reported smoke coming from a second story window around 4:10 p.m. When firefighters went inside, they found a small fire burning on the second floor.

Everyone made it out of the duplex safely before firefighters arrived. No one was injured.

Firefighters determined there was too much smoke and water damage for the two residents to stay inside the home. The American Red Cross was working to provide temporary housing for the two individuals until the home could be repaired by the owner.
