Sioux Falls celebrates the arts this weekend

Between the 15th annual SculptureWalk, the Art & Wine Walk, and the South Dakota State Arts Conference, there is a lot of reasons to celebrate the arts in Sioux Falls.
The South Dakota State Arts Conference is Friday and Saturday at the Holiday Inn in Downtown Sioux Falls. South Dakota artists, art advocates, art lovers and policy makers will be a part of the conference for two days. The conference is a great way to learn and network with experts in South Dakota's cultural community. The main part of the conference is Saturday with various speakers who will make presentations on fundraising, artists as entrepreneurs, and major projects in the state. People can register

The First Friday Art & Wine Walk in Downtown Sioux Falls will also be on Friday. This year, 29 artists will be featured at various locations in Downtown Sioux Falls. You can see the artists at their respective location, see some of their work, or even watch them perform. A total of 22 different wines can be sampled at various locations as well. The new sculptures for the 15th annual SculptureWalk will start getting installed Saturday. There will be a total of 56 sculptures in this year's display throughout Downtown Sioux Falls. The sculptures are done by artists from all over the country and even all over the world. Within the past 15 years, SculptureWalk has featured more than 775 sculptures created by artists from four continents and 10 countries.
