South Dakota State University named top online college in state

A recent survey conducted by OnlineColleges.com shows South Dakota State University has the best online programs in the state.

The study compared 18 institutions across South Dakota -- looking at 14 different metrics using data from the National Center for Education Statistics.

SDSU got the top spot for its tuition rate, online programs offered and the number of students enrolled in distance education.

Lake Area Technical Institute came in at number twp on the list, and the University of South Dakota took the third spot.
