Strong police presence in downtown Sioux Falls

There was a strong police presence in downtown Sioux Falls on Wednesday night in the vicinity of 7th and Phillips.

Several uniformed officers were taking up positions in the area as were officers with the department's Crime Lab.

Officers at the scene tell KSFY News their presence in the area is part of an on-going investigation and that there is no immediate danger to the public.
