A restaurant owner in Viborg says it sounded like a bomb went off as a pickup barreled through his business, Wednesday morning.

Cleanup is underway at the Daneville Inn along Main Street.

The truck had already been removed by the afternoon. The owner tells KSFY News he was in the back room at the time of the crash, heard the pickup come through the north side wall at nearly 50 miles per hour.

"I was in the back room, when I heard a loud explosion. Shook the building like an earthquake. Came out front, there was a truck lying in the dining room and dust everywhere," Daneville Inn Owner Jeff Christensen said.

We're told that the driver experienced some sort of medical issue but is doing OK. Owner Jeff Christensen hopes to get things up and running by the weekend in another part of the restaurant. He was waiting on engineering crews to confirm the structural integrity of the building is safe.
