Two people injured in accidental shooting in Aberdeen

The Aberdeen Police Department said two men were injured after an accidental shooting Saturday evening.

Police were called to the 1600 Block of Melody Lane at 6:41 Saturday night for a report of an accidental shooting.

One man had a single gunshot wound through the hand and another had a gunshot wound through the leg. Police say they believe both injuries were caused by a single round that was accidentally fired.

Both men were taken to the Avera St. Lukes Hospital by ambulance.
