UPDATE: Police say homicide suspect, victim acquainted
Police say the man who was fatally shot in Sioux Falls over the weekend and the man suspected of killing him knew each other and didn't get along.
During a briefing Monday, police spokesman Sam Clemens says 36-year-old Sioux Falls Max Bolden is still at large. Police identified the victim as 37-year-old Benjamin Donahue III.
The shooting happened in a downtown parking lot about 1 a.m. Saturday. Clemens says witnesses told police there were two shots to the victim's head.
Police say there was an altercation involving the men and that the public is not in danger.
Authorities are asking anyone who sees Bolden to call 911.
Police have found one vehicle that may be connected to the shooting - a gray Dodge Charger, but are still searching for a white Ford Explorer.
Police have identified a suspect in a fatal weekend shooting in downtown Sioux Falls.
Authorities issued a warrant for 36-year-old Max Bolden for 1st-degree murder, 2nd-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Bolden is wanted in connection to a shooting that took place around 1 a.m. Saturday near 10th Street and Main Avenue in Sioux Falls that left a 37-year-old man dead.
Police say Bolden is armed and dangerous. If anyone sees him, police ask that you not approach him - just call 911. However, investigators do not believe Bolden is an active threat to the public.
Authorities are also looking for two vehicles in connection to the shooting. Anyone with details is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 605-367-7007.
