Washington Pavilion opens SculptureWalk Visitor Center
The Washington Pavilion unveiled the new SculptureWalk Visitor Center Wednesday.
The visitor center is located next to the Visual Arts Center. It is also located near the first and last sculptures on the SculptureWalk route, giving visitors an opportunity to start and end at the new center.
"We have over 400,000 people that come in this building every year, so our patrons, all of those people, can come here and learn about SculptureWalk, the history, what these sculptures are, where they are, and so that's really how this idea was born," Washington Pavilion President and CEO Darrin Smith said.
The space features a large scale map of the sculpture route, brochures, video and artwork.
The visitor center is free and open all year round.
