Weekly event brings local business leaders together

An event was held at the Sioux Falls Orpheum Theater Wednesday morning to bring entrepreneurs and community members together.

Local business leaders gathered to hear from keynote speaker and founder of Daktronics, Al Kurtenbach. They also had the opportunity to network and share ideas with each other.

Organizers said "1 Million Cups" has been successful for the last four years, and many of the people that attend the event have been successful as well.

"People have started businesses with people they met at '1 Million Cups,'" Matthew Paulson said. "People have written books because they were inspired by '1 Million Cups.' People have found jobs and business partners, and it's really served that purpose, and it still seems to be serving that purpose."

The event will be held every Tuesday morning at the Orpheum Theater.
