Three dead in plane crash in Pipestone County

NEAR HOLLAND, MN The Pipestone County Sheriff says a pilot and two passengers are dead after the small plane they were flying went down in cornfield just south of Holland - or 10 miles northeast of Pipestone.

The Pipestone County Sheriff's Office says reports starting coming in about the downed aircraft just after 8:00 Monday night. Emergency responders were able to locate the crashed plan on a waterway in Grange Township Section 13.

Three people were in the plane, a pilot and two passengers. They were all pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Federal Aviation Administration has joined the Pipestone County Sheriff's investigation.
